Course Overview

Our Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice course is self paced, which allows students to be able to complete the course in their own time over a 12 month period.

Discover Massage Australia, in partnership with RTO32143 SGA has a pathway option for students to obtain a nationally accredited certificate. 


Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice (HLT42015) qualification.

Students who complete our Whole Body Massage Course and Deep Tissue Massage for Common Injuries -1 and Deep Tissue Massage for Common Injuries -2 workshops can choose to up-skill to achieve their Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice.

FAQs 
1. If i have completed the Whole Body Course only, can i start Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice (HLT42015)?

Yes. You can start the Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice course and then enrol into the Deep Tissue and Common Injuries Level One and Two Course. These are run on a regular basis.

2. Do you have to complete the Whole Body Course, Deep Tissue Level One and Two courses before i start Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice (HLT42015)?
No. We will enrol you into the Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice course. You will also need to enrol into our Whole Body Course, Deep Tissue Level One and Two practical hands on courses separately. These courses are the practical subjects you will be assessed on.


3. Do i need to complete all of the DMA Pathway courses before i start the Certificate IV In Massage Therapy Practice (HLT42015)?
No. Our Whole Body Course, Deep Tissue Massage and Common Injuries Level One and Two are the Massage Practical modules for the Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice. We recommend for your on going development to complete our Advanced Courses.

4. How is the Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice (HLT42015) Upgrade delivered?

This course is delivered through an online learning system students complete self pace via correspondence. It is an online course that has practical components that need to be assessed in both a massage centre and where required video uploads. In regards to the practicals, this course requires face to face time and 80 hours contact within a massage environment. You will be given a workbook and third party practical sign off sheet to give to the work place you choose to have a suitability qualified persons within the workplace sign off for you.It is the students responsibility to organise a work place.

 
5. How long do i have to complete the Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice (HLT42015) upgrade course?
 This course is self paced, which allows students to be able to complete the course in their own time over a 12 month period. 18 hours per week = 12 months
26 hours per week = 6 months

6. Recognition
Participants with previous training and/or experience may apply for RPL. Participants, who have completed courses with equivalent / matching learning outcomes, will be granted credit transfer.
 
7. Extension policy
Students may request an extension of home study based modules. The RTO will determine if an extension is possible in each case and subject to the qualification not being superseded. Extensions are only applicable to home study based training modules. An extension fee will apply.
