DMA can now offer the Diploma of Remedial Massage (HLT52012) in partnership with RTO32143. Diploma of Remedial Massage (HLT52012) is the benchmark to a Government Accredited Remedial Massage Therapy Qualification. This course provides you with the skills to practice remedial massage.
This qualification reflects the role of remedial massage therapists who work with clients presenting with soft tissue dysfunction, musculoskeletal imbalance or restrictions in range of motion (ROM). Practitioners may be self-employed or work within a larger health service.
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 200 workplace hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency.
To gain entry into HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage a candidate must demonstrate competence through a recognised training program or recognition process, A minimum of 80 hours practical experience in a massage centre + the core units from the Certificate IV in Massage.
To achieve a Diploma of Remedial Massage, the qualification packaging rules requires completion of 21 units:
